(csmonitor.com) About us: Unlike most US news organizations, the Monitor does not rely primarily on wire service, like AP and Reuters, for it’s international coverage. In addition to six foreign bureaus we have writers around the world and US covering news and events. The Monitor has won seven Pulitzer Prizes and more than a dozen Overseas Press Club awards. About you:
- You are an eZ Publish developer.
- You enjoy ALL stages of web development and may also have some experience (or interest in) developing for Mobile or Social Media products.
- You’re a strong communicator – comfortable working in client facing roles and serving as an effective point person for a team of off-site developers.
- You’re motivated, professional, deadline oriented, and excited about working with an equally dedicated team.
Position Responsibilities:
- Partner with Editorial and Publishing staff to understand and analyze system needs in order to design the ideal solutions.
- Develop solutions for CSMonitor.com and provide on-going support to maintain and enhance the site.
- Collaborate with core on-site Web Team to manage and coordinate off-site developers and project teams to ensure efficiency and quality of output.
Required Education & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related course of study and commensurate experience
- eZ publish, JavaScript, PHP, XML, XSL
