Read-only attributes

I'm looking for a read-only version (without any kernel hacks) of the ezselection datatype that comes with a standard eZ Publish. I thought somebody mentioned a bunch of read-only versions of the core datatypes once here on the forum, but I was unable to find back that topic. Thanks in advance!
