My articles are categorized as
Tech Edu Tutorialetc.
What is the best way to implement this. Should I make a class entry named category or should I make a folder for each category under the article folder.
The categories are around 3-7 categories

It depends on your site and which functionality you think is the best. If you place the various articles in different folder then the editor must move to the correct location before he publishes an article (a bit more difficult publishing process). One advantage with this is that the articles are stored categorized in the content tree (However, articles belonging in multiple categories can be a bit cubersome to make). Also using an selection box and template code can still enable sorting of articles when displaying them for the user. Another flexible alternative might be to use the keyword attribute. How rigid should the categorization be? Should there be a pre set of categories and should an article only be in one category? If yes then I would consider using different folder and placing the approriate acticle in that folder. If not then I would consider one of the other options.
