I pulled the bzipped tarball of 3.2 final today and 1) the demo data was missing, but the setup "wizard" didn't say anything about it (I found out by trying to do a manual install when the wizard's setup didn't work) and 2) I'm getting "Object is unavailable" errors in admin when I try to create a new folder, so I think the cleandata must be missing something (the "root" folder, maybe?)

Stephen,
do a clean installation in an empty directory.
When you unzip the 3.2final to your ezP install dir, the setup wizard does not start up.
As of 3.2, "cleandata" has no data in it (I think), possible just object classes. The setup wizard will install all other data from the "packages". you can try to install them manually with the ezpm.php script (I didn't try, but this is the package manager).
