I am pretty curious about this too.
I a m soon to move servers to a 64-bit AMD chip and am curious how eZpublish will perform.

Hi
Yes, we are running several 64bit systems. The performance is OK but nothing more. We just started to test eZ publish on the new AMD dual-dual core (64 bit) technology. The performance is outstanding, we reached 49,88 request per second on a standard installation of eZ publish.
Just contact me if you want more information.

Has anyone compared the performance of eZ Publish 1) on a 64 bit Linux system with OS and Apache running as 64 bit software vs 2) on a 64 bit Linux system with OS and Apache running as 32 bit software? Thanks!

Far as i know generally you will only get any benefit if running 64 bit code on really high-end hardware. Tens of Gb of memory, multiple cpu's etc. On a system with say 4G of ram and one cpu it does not really matter, difference is insignificant.
