Create Edit button for a new class

Hi!

I have searched the forum and yes, there have been some answers for this question but not exactly what I wanted to know.

Here is the story:
I have created a new class and an override template fot it. It works fine.

Now, I want my friends to be able to create new instances of this class directly from the homepage (being logged in). This also works fine.

Here comes the problem. When they are logged in I want them to be able to edit this class. But How do I get the "edit" button at the top to be shown?

This button is there for ie articles, but how do I add it to my own class?
