I have no idea how this happenend, but the root node is gone. When I try to go into Trash to restore the homepage (front page), I still get the error after I restore and send for publishing. No results.
I've tried to reset the debug settings, but it seems that whenever I try to do something, the same error occurs.
Specs: Host: Firebright (virtual) eZpublish 3.4.4 Apache 2.0.40 MySQL 3.23.58PHP (Redhat-9) 4.3.4
Please help. I'm at a loss.
Thanks.
Luke

Hi Luke,
You should change IndexPage (in override/site.ini.append.php) for your new root node_id.
# Which page to show when the root index (/) is accessedIndexPage=/content/view/full/new_node_id/
Personal website -> http://serwatka.net Blog (about eZ Publish) -> http://serwatka.net/blog

Lukasz,
Thanks the response.
I tried that before posting and again afterwards.
I when I submit that change, I get the kernel(3) error message and the change does not take effect. It still references the root node_id that seems to have disappeared.
Any other ideas?

So, your problem is more complicated... Look at this topics.

I tried working on the tables directly, but things seemed shaky.
I'm going to restore last night's backup. We'll lose a day of work, but we can make that up.
Next, I'm going to start running hourly backups...
