I'm looking for information on how to create an inspirational quote of the day. I'd like a random quote to appear on one page and the latest to appear on another. The quotes would just be a simple short paragraph of text. So I created a content object for inspirational _quote. My question is about the design of this content/functionality. Should I create a folder off the root node then add all the quotes under the folder. Then somehow pull them into the correct pages with template code? Or Do I add the quotes in the content tree under the nodes where they need to appear? The use of the content tree is confusing to me for chunks of reusable (dynamic not template) content that needs to be added to lots of pages across the site. Similar to a stack of sidebar modules that exist across most site sections. Any advise or links to articles on this type of functionality would be great.
