The UK Government established The Energy Saving Trust (EST) and set a target for reducing UK emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) - the greenhouse gas responsible for climate change - by 20 per cent of 1990 levels by 2010. EST needed a web content management expert to help them achieve their goal improving their online experience and technological infrastructure to enable a single environment to increase usability and maintainability of their environment. They chose Vision with Technology and eZ Publish for this task and since 2008, Vision with Technology has become a preferred supplier in developing portals for EST. In 2009 the EST site won the prestigious eZ Publish site of the year.

UAP commissioned VisionWT to redevelop their website which was previously a static HTML website using frames making it impossible to bookmark and with a very old fashioned look and feel not consistent with their innovative way of working. The new site is a fully content managed website with a fresh, dynamic look and feel appealing to a wider agricultural audience being user friendly and easy for UAP to add new content as required. An animated Flash banner gives the ability to demonstrate the range of crops UAP supply products and agronomy support services for whilst keeping the site fresh.

support this global project which happens once every 5 years in order to
monitor the representation of women and men in news television, radio and
newspapers. Over 76 countries brought the world's news media under scrutiny
challenging media leaders to ensure women are no longer marginalised and
ensure equality in the media. In addition to all the news and feedback on
data collected, the site has events calendars, polls and blogs, a truly
inclusive website. TV's Jon Snow, presenter of Channel 4 news, launches the
3 weeks of global action.

VisionWT has developed an e-commerce website for charity CAFOD (Catholic Agency for Overseas Development), the aid agency. The website supports a direct mail campaign to raise funds for worthy causes around the world. Launched to maximise donations over the Christmas period, the World Gifts website offers users the opportunity to purchase gifts, such as buying a goat or seeds, where the gift recipient will get a certificate outlining their gift and the people in need the gift will help.

ICBL (International Campaign to Ban Landmines) are a non-profit organisation working towards banning landmines and the destruction they cause to people across the world. VisionWT were chosen by ICBL to support their online strategy for constantly improving the experience the ICBL visitor has when visiting the site.

The previous incarnation of the Landmine Monitor website existed as flat HTML and with a vastly content rich site, keeping the site up-to-date had become an impossible task. VisionWT were asked to redesign the Landmine Monitor site and develop an eZ publish back-end to allow the site to grow more dynamically and controlled in the future.

Amba returned to VisionWT who had previously built their start-up start with the need for a new design to represent a more established brand and a method to recruit potential employees. The Association for Women's Rights in Development (AWID) is an international membership organisation connecting, informing and mobilising people and organisations committed to achieving gender equality, sustainable development and women's human rights. AWID needed a web content management tool that would be able to support combining over ten thousand articles in three different languages to create the new experience that will drive AWID forward to achieve their goals. After consulting with Vision with Technology, AWID chose eZ Publish as their web content management tool.
VET

VET commissioned VisionWT to create a website focused on the companies core media offer. The base goal being to raise the profile of the organisations Video Editing and Training capabilities. The overall goal being to increase bookings and industry recognition.

We worked closely with VET to ensure the brand values of the company were respected and built upon. The site also incorporates a variety of rich media features including Quicktime Video and QTVR. This media is broadcast within a custom built media player environment to showcase VET's facilities, services, industry events and film projects.

CNBC Europe is Europe's leading financial news TV channel. VisionWT worked together with CNBC Europe to develop "The Business of Innovation" website, sponsored by IBM.

The site supports The Business of Innovation series being broadcast globally across the CNBC network and its affiliates. The site is multi-lingual to cater for it's key audience groups; English, Russian, Chinese and Japanese.

Included in the many dynamic features of the site are podcasts and video content.

Innovation is about re-inventing business processes and building entirely new markets that meet untapped customer needs. Most important, as the Internet and globalization widen the pool of new ideas, it's about selecting and executing the right ideas and bringing them to market in record time.

CNBC Europe is Europe's leading financial news TV channel. VisionWT developed the original Aviva "Forward Thinking" site for CNBC Europe. CNBC Europe have now released a new series of films and VisionWT have developed a new website called "Looking Forward".

"Looking forward" is a chance for CNBC viewers to hear the world's top CEOs talk openly about how they expect their sector to unfold throughout 2007.

Each episode will focus on a different sector, and offers valuable insights from the leading edge of business thinking. Sectors include Advertising, Commercial Property, Hotels & Tourism, Insurance, Private Equity, Telecoms and more. The films capture editorially independent interviews conducted by CNBC Europe for Looking Forward. In addition to the on-air broadcast of the episodes, they are available to view online.

CNBC Europe together with VisionWT developed the Aviva Forward thinking in film website. The website needed to closely work with the look and feel of other Aviva websites.

Aviva is the world's fifth-largest insurance group and the biggest in the UK.

This eZ publish website supports a series of short films being shown on CNBC Europe, Europe's leading business and financial news TV channel. The on-air programmes and website content demonstrate a series of forward thinking individuals considered as pioneering. Stories include indivduals such as John Talbott, founder of the Findhorn Ecovillage project, Europe's largest self-sustaining community.

Both the on-air and extended versions of each film can be viewed online. Other features of the site include information about each project with user-engaging interactive functionality such as polls, quotes and comments.
Lucis Trust

Lucis Trust had many different types of information from text and picture articles to shop items and radio broadcasts on their old site but an inconsistent method of adding more content to a site which had no Content Management System (CMS) and no dynamically generated content. With navigation which was unable to grow with new content, the time had come to build a solid foundation which will be future proof and cater flexibly for the ever expanding content. VisionWT worked with the Lucis Trust to find the right solution for the long-term.

The new eZ publish CMS website includes many features such as calendar of events, e-commerce and multi-lingual for English, Italian, Spanish and French.
WACC

WACC promotes communication for social change. It believes that communication is a basic human right that defines people’s common humanity, strengthens cultures, enables participation, creates community and challenges tyranny and oppression.

VisionWT redeveloped the WACC website to provide a more flexible website able to grow with it's content.

The new website has an integrated drop-down menu providing quick one-click, easy and clear access to the site's content as well as regional information for Africa, Asia, Caribbean, Europe, Latin America, Middle East, North America and the Pacific.

Myeloma UK provides information and support to all those affected by myeloma (a type of bone marrow cancer) and aims to improve treatment and care through education, research, campaigning and awareness.

VisionWT developed the Myeloma UK website to provide an accessible user-friendly interface with an approachable, helpful and informative resource. With the flexibility to allow new content to be added to the site in addition to the ability for the latest drug and treatment information to be accessed quickly, the website has been a welcome improvement for Myeloma UK's communications with their end users.

Site features includes a dynamic search mechanism enabling users to find specific information on UK clinical trials and the phase they are in with ease. Information on new drugs is a method allowing users to see at a glance, what treatments are available and at what stage of release they are in, eg: preclinical, licensed etc. The site is full of resources for both patients and health care professionals.

VisionWT have been CAFOD's web development partner for a few years and in addition to the development of the main CAFOD website at http://www.cafod.org.uk amongst others, it was time to produce a site more focussed for children.

For the younger audience, there is the Kidz Zone website helping them learn about the people CAFOD help through donations and fundraising in a fun way. To help keep children interested, the interface is more graphically focussed with content very visual and fun and games.

VisionWT were approached to develop the online solution for the CAFOD (Catholic Agency for Overseas Development) World Gifts campaign to maximise donations around the Christmas 2004 period. We have been developing the World Gifts website for each Christmas period ever since.

The website is part of a complete campaign involving postal and telephone donations in addition to online donations.

The website provides an opportunity for CAFOD to demonstrate how the various gifts sold on the website such as giving a goat in East Africa, will provide longer term benefits and make a difference in regions across the world.

In addition to buying gifts and making donations, users can see exactly what their gift recipient will receive in the form of certificates and cards.

SCIAF is Scotland's lead aid agency. SCIAF support poor communities overseas regardless of their religion in addition to responding to humanitarian disasters and campaigning for a just world.

VisionWT have developed a new website for SCIAF helping to support all their off-line efforts and enabling them to better communicate with their volunteers, people donating and the rest of their support network.

The site is a full e-commerce website enabling SCIAF to sell their 'Real Gifts' range online. Real Gifts are a way to give your friends and family great presents while transforming the lives of some of the world's poorest people. The site enables SCIAF to take advantage of 'Gift Aid' tax-efficient scheme operated by HM Revenue & Customs so site visitors living in the UK can effectively give an extra 28% on top of their donation at no cost to them.

In addition to the Real Gifts shop, the site is fully commerce enables for donations and includes an events calendar, fundraising information, newsletter sign-up and downloadables.

SCIAF Youth

SCIAF is Scotland's lead aid agency. SCIAF support poor communities overseas regardless of their religion in addition to responding to humanitarian disasters and campaigning for a just world.

The SCIAF Youth site was developed specifically for the younger audience, generally of school age. The challenge for the design of the site was that it needed to appeal to both young children through to the teenage audience which generally have quite different needs and desires.

VisionWT successfully designed the site to appeal to the younger audiences and engage them and encourage them to get involved in fundraising activities as well as discovering what a real difference their efforts and caring can make to poorer communities around the world.

Grolier

VisionWT have developed the new website for publisher Grolier.

The Grolier Society started in 1895 in the US and has been in the UK since the early 1970s. Their strength was clearly demonstrated in June 2000 when Grolier became part of the Scholastic group who are the world's largest publisher and distributor of children's books, recently recognised for publishing J.K. Rowling's phenomenally successful Harry Potter series.

The new Grolier e-commerce website opens the doors to a whole new method of reaching their target audience of parents and their children with publications for sale from brands such as Disney, Thomas and Friends, Winnie the Pooh, Nick Jr, Dr Seuss and many more.

VisionWT developed the new Grolier commerce website site providing an easy way for parents to purchase quality items chosen by an expert editorial team and feature world-renowned and award-winning authors. While mum and dad are browsing the site, the children are entertained with the fun and games section creating a family-friendly site. The site uses the secure internet payment engine Datacash.
