I needed to manipulate the data in the database and I wanted to make sure that only one version is used at a time. When I had originally asked the question I had the idea in my mind that the current_version field was in the ezcontentobject_tree table and not the ezcontentobject table. So it was really my mistake in the first place that even brought this into question. Thanks again!
