Form... sending delayed a LOT. why?

I made a form, entered some data.... waited.... waited... and the email was sent to me a LOT (1 hour or so) after I entered the data. The system uses sendmail, I do not call cron-jobs for the ez3 sites (yet). The mail arrived, but it is soooo late. Other Mails from the system (ie from ez2 installs) arrive immediatly. Plus, the arriving mail was badly formatted (lots of blank lines). I'm using Eudora. Marco http://www.hyperroad-design.com
