How to insert a file for direct download?

Hi

I uploaded a file into the media folder of eZ publish 3.6. Now I'd like to make a direct download link to this file in my text area [XML Block].

Unfortunately I only get redirected to a page where I can download the file.

How can I achieve to have direct the link to the file inserted?

Ah, I thought in the wrong direction. Of course I can just embed the object and then use the embed/line/full template views to change output.

A little tricky though for first time users (such as me) as they want to make a link to the object and specify the link text and don't think of inserting an actual object.

But still curious: Is there a way of changing the link tag output to achieve the wanted effect?
