How to share "storage" directory under W2K?

Cesar Verdes	Tuesday 27 April 2004 2:34:18 pm Could someone help me to setup the ezPusblish in order to share the storage directory among three developers running W2K? We use the same MySQL database server, but we have the problem that when one developer upload an image into a new object to his var/<oursite>/storage directory, the other developers couldn't see it - obviously ;-) We think that it's as easy as mount a common storage directory under linux... but how that could be done under W2K? We are using a local subversion server in order to synchronize the files under these directories: design/<oursite> settings/siteaccess/<oursite> settings/siteaccess/<oursite_admin> But use subversion to syncronize the storage directory it's to tedious and unpractical. Cesar Verdes	Wednesday 28 April 2004 12:57:28 pm Dominik, I deeply studied your suggestion. I found that the 'Mount point' only are valid for "local" resources. I tried two tools: <b>linkd.exe:</b> (Junction Points) A junction point is similar to a symbolic link, but instead of redirecting access from one file to another, it redirects access from one directory to another. <b>mountvol.exe:</b> (Volume Mount Points) A volume mount point is like a symbolic link or junction point but for all the volume. Do you know a way to get the same effect with remote directory (other w2k professional shared directory without a NT domain)? Thanks again. C.
Dominik Pich	Friday 30 April 2004 2:10:10 am No sorry windoofs uses only smb for sharing AFAIK... but what about a net device and moving the stoorage to that!
Cesar Verdes	Friday 30 April 2004 9:57:46 am Dominik, Unfortunaly we could not set up Apache (httpd.conf) nor ezPublish (site.ini.append) to access the storage folder through the net to a shared folder of other PC usign map drives nor windows direct access. That was the first configuration we tried to, but after a day of study we gave up. :-( Thanks and congratulations for using Linux! ;-)
