I was wondering about just how it could be possible to build a content class say via a text editor and package it as an ez package (containing a class) and load it into ez publish and activate it. I wonder if you can build content classes outside of the class admin because it can really try your patience clicking in the class editor over and over again just to create the most simple of properties. While that's ok for small classes larger more complex classes can make it a practice in patience and timed repetition more than the enjoyable experience with most eZ solutions. So I'm taking it to the forums to see if anyone else has thought of these subjects. Is it was possible to export a class into an ez pkg file and in turn extract the file the represented the class (like a tar.gz or zip pkg) as an xml (binary or text) or other kind of file, make changes to that class file, repackage the class and install it into eZ publish ( replacing existing ). What do you think?
