Hi,

I would like to know if there is a script to run solr as a service (start/stop/restart...) on the web server (chkconfig -> script).

Best regards.

Gaetano,

We still have problem to use is find as service.
The script (http://issues.ez.no/IssueView.php?Id=12142&activeItem=12) doesn't seems to be ok with our server configuration (redhat (rhel4) + Centos 4.5) and I don't really know how to rewrite it.

Any hint?

In RHEL5, there isn't "start-stop-daemon" script.

You can use the daemon application :

man daemon

Look at the oters script in /etc/init.d/ for a exemple

eZC on RHEL : http://blog.famillecollet.com/pages/Config-en
eZC on Fedora : just "yum install php-channel-ezc"
