Sending sms messages with ez newsletter

We have been using it for some time, customized some parts related to sending newsletters and things work very well so far. But now we have some difficulties with the sms functionality. Has anyone tested and succeeded in sending sms messages with the extension? If so, could you please give me a little advice for that? I should create the newsletter object as a regular newsletter and send with the 'send_newsletter' cronjob, or better customize the sms related classes to use the 'send_sms' cronjob? Hello!
