ezfind and multisite indexation

I explain, in my new project, a site "portal" managed with EzPublish and in this site, a search engine must search in the content of many other site who are not generate by EzPublish. Is that possible with ezfind ? Thanks

How do you access those foreign sites? Do you have access to their native stores (DB, XML, ...)? Or do you need to crawl them over http?
