Smart 404 handling

Hello there,

I'm trying to find out if eZpub offers something similar to WordPress' Smart 404 plugin, which uses the current URL to attempt to find a matching page if the requested page could not be found (http://atastypixel.com/blog/wordpress/plugins/smart-404 )

Can you push me in the right direction?

Hi Ildar and welcome aboard the eZ Community !

One solution i can imagine for this is to rely on eZ Find, powerful search engine extension for eZ Publish (learn more and try there : http://ez.no/ezfind ). One of its main features, directly mapped to Solr's eponymous feature : More Like This, can help you achieve the smart 404 idea.

Performing a text-based more-like-this query, with the requested URL as base text, could work.
