What triggers the calendar tool?
How to make dates link to events?

I'd also be interested to learn how this works.... added it to the right side toolbar using the admin interface, and nothing shows up. Can anyone enlighten us?

Did you create a custom event class with an event date attribute? The calendar seems to work on date published attribute, which is set automatically when the object is published.

When you add the calendar to your toolbar, you need to select a subtree and class type(s) to go with it.

If you set the subtree to your news folder, and the class to articles, you should get dates highlighted in the calendar for each day an article was published.

Getting the calendar to work with the date attribute of an event would be a little different, and require customization of the toolbar templates.

Hello,
I carefully tried (3 times) your suggestions, clearing all cache files also, but it does not work.
The calendar only shows the present day highlighted.
Only by navigating at months it selects articles published the selected month.
But it does not highlight days wich have articles published nor becomes clickable links at days.
Did I miss something in your explanation?
Is there an aditional step?
Regards.

Hello,
I tested it more, and when you select a specific article, not a folder, it highlight the publishing date (not clickable) as well ass the present day date (if at same month).
When viewing folder content it does not show valuable info.
thanks.
