EZ Book for Beginners, too??

I was just wondering if the new EZ Publish book will work well for beginners - (those who don't know how to program php). Looking over the description, it seemed like it was designed for php programmers to make the migration to the EZ Publish way, not for raw beginners like myself to learn how to set up decent sites.

Thanks for any feedback.

I bought the book in desperate hope to get to grips with the EZ 3 version (I'm using 2.2 on my personal page). But alas, the book is for advanced php developers it seems. I didn't catch on at least... But I'll resell the book for cheap ;-)

Until EZ 3 gets more userfriendly for non-programmers, <b>I'll stick with 2.2</b>.

Good luck!

Hi Kenneth & James,

I also bought the eZ book, not cheap, for I had to bought it via Amazon (cant find it anywhere in my country). Waited for it about 10 days, and finally when I started to read it I noticed that is quite useless.. :(

It's not well structured (I have about a ton of other books for programmers, php, mysql, asp... and wrox books rule tbh...), commands, functions and code are not well explained or not explained at all, there are not clear examples... It seems a book made of pieces of this site :(... quite dissapointing tbh

I honestly recommend to check this forum in search of help and advice, there are lots of good ezpublish developers in this forum willing to help. It works for me, and when I get experience enough with this amazing CMS, I will also do the same myself. Trust the ez community :)))

Cheers!

Can you feel it Mr. Anderson? Closing in on you? Oh I can, I really should thank you after all. It was, after all, it was your life that taught me the purpose of all life. Purpose of life is to end.
