hello,
Our organisation is currently testing EZ. But I hope an expert can answer a 'can it do...' question. So we can speed up our choice of CMS a bit.

We like to use some kind of tagging mechanism. It is best compared to IGN (altough not all our content is not about games)
http://xbox.ign.com/objects/717/717171.html

You have a game, of which several kinds of content is written: reviews, previews, photo's, multimedia. But you want a 'grouping' page. on which all content is grouped for 1 particular game.

A game would be a 'top-category' with hundreds and even thousands of items.

So my question is in general: is this possible with EZ? We tested some other systems only to find the number of categories is limited, or very very slow because of the many items.

this is easily done by using thesaurus keywords.

you give every object of a certain game the same keyword and ez does the rest.
