How to translate class name

I am looking for a way to translate classes' name. I didn't play around with translation, my site is entirely in french so I only have one supported language. By now, I have translated all strings by updating translation.ts. I want to be able to translate classes' name AND attribute's name to allow registering, search result, etc... to be entirely in french. I would like to reuse my ezpublish installation for site that support more than one language... I think that changing the class' name under setup->advanced->class is not the best solution.

Any help welcome!

Hi,
as long as you are "mono-lingual", changing the "names" of the classes and the attributes is the best way, though i don't know, if special characters, like é will work here.
But don't change the identifiers of a class or an attribute.

For multi-lingual-sites.... don't know... but i'm sure, that others, who did multi-lingual stuff, will answer ;)

I have kind of a map... so i map a class name or attribute and control it with a translation extension

Hi Björn,

Would you be as kind as to elaborate on how your extension works, as we are looking to translate content classes and their attributes ourselves.

Thanks in advance !

Sincerely,
