Indeed, well done - its a great face lift. I particularly like the faster menu :)

A nice design indeed, but I'm already missing the link to content/new at the top. Any chance this link will come back?

I like the design (especially that it is wider now and makes more use of my screen) but the fonts are too small. Even with bumping font size a few times they are kinda small.

Any chance we'll see the code for the menu as contribution?

ez.no/content/new It still works so I don't care too much for the link not being there:)

Looks very nice! And topmenu is a great work!
But site doesn't support non-latin characters :( Why?

The last post is not very accurate by the way, the last post was by "Mikhail Chekanov" but it was showing that I had made the last post??? Not true?

Cheers!

I definitely like the new layout. You did a great work!
I also noticed that now the website is a lot more responsive and quick, when clicking on links.
My congrats!

I've spotted a few issues so far.

- Ordering on 'Latest articles' at http://ez.no/community is the wrong way round.
- Ordering on 'User group news' at http://ez.no/community is the wrong way round.
- I dont receive new notifications from ez.no.

Otherwise its nice.

I do find the menu a little difficult to use because of its speed(!). If i hover over the top level and want to move to the next i have to 'curve' the mouse to the item - directly moving usually activates another menu.

Could we perhaps get working RSS streams for all the forums? They were broken before the relaunch and now I can't find them at all. RSS would greatly speed up being up to date ...

I stand corrected. /content/new doesn't seem to work at all.

Hi,
The new site is quite notably faster. What changes did you guys make?

Thanks
Ralf

One tiny remark - I noticed that references filter doesn't seem to work: http://ez.no/customers/references/filter (by Type, Country, Vertical).

All other is great :D

Thanks for all the feedback, it's really appreciated.

To answer the question about how we got ez.no running faster:
- We added a new standalone database server running an ICC compiled version of MySQL
- Tweaked MySQL a bit (query cache and others).
- Just a bit more intelligent use of cache-blocks.
- The javascript menu help remove unnecessary page loads which reduces server load.
- The documentation is using static cache.

All the issues raised in this thread should be fixed (currently working on RSS). The new postings link has been moved to the forum frontpage ( http://ez.no/community/forum ).

Thanks again,

Thanks a lot!

But 5 entries is a maybe bit on the low side for some forums?

I agree 5 entries might not be enough, however ez.no is running 3.5.1 which has a hardcoded 5 item rss limit. Once upgraded to 3.7x this will change.
