Object relations in EZP 3.9 or EOR?

Andrey Astakhov	Saturday 30 December 2006 6:31:49 am It seems that object relations datatype got a definitely new feature in eZ Publish 3.9. I mean different selection methods. I use enhanced object relation datatype for it. 1. What would you recommend: to use native Object relations or to use EOR in further work? 2. Do you use enhanced object relation intensively? 3. Is it possible to smoothly convert eor to object relations? Thank you in advance for any answers.
Gabriel Ambuehl	Saturday 30 December 2006 6:56:06 am Let me say, as someone who has developped quite a bit of EOR, that the decision really isn't entirely easy. Somewhere in the development leading to 3.8 EOR got partly broken (i.e. the kernel now behaves differently) and translation/copy of EOR objects doesn't really work anymore. I have looked into it, but couldn't figure out how to fix it (not sure it even CAN be fixed without patching the kernel). OTOH, object relation list is totally buggy in 3.9 (to the point where I would call it unusable in my tests), see for example http://issues.ez.no/IssueView.php?Id=9864&ProjectId=3&Anchor=Comment251104 (that might be a more general issue though). If/as/when ez will fix object relation list (and by that I mean that all features they supposedly ported from EOR are actually working), I'll likely look into writing a converter from EOR to object relation list. Guillaume Kempfer	Wednesday 21 February 2007 3:37:18 am Hi guys, I have a site created with ezp 3.8.6 and it's not possible to translate objects with eor datatype. It's seems that it's not possible into ezp 3.9.0 too. I tested the new object relation datatype and it works same as eor. For me it's a problem because my site should be in english and since december i cannot translate correctly my object without any bug. So my question, when will this bug be fix ? Perhaps it is already fixed into trunk version, but i don"t know where to search. Thanks
