Replicating the contribution section like the one here at eZ

Hi all,

I am creating a downloads database as one section of one of my sites, and have been trying to figure out how best to do this with eZpublish as that is what I use for the rest of the site.

Most of what I want to be able to offer is exactly as in the Contributions section here so author, version, download count, screenshots, comments and download link(s).

Is there any chance someone from eZ (or anyone that knows how) could explain a little of how they've gone about this. Especially the download counting part.
