Strange mail behaviour

Hi,

I've had a problem (or rather one of my user has) that I can't seem to reproduce:

When the user registers at my site, everything goes fine but when the two emails come through they have strange characteristics. First of all part of the headers are printed in the body of the email and then in the actual body of the email every end of line is represented by a "=D" instead of a carriage return.

I'm thinking it's probably something to do with the mail client (MS Outlook), but can't say so for definate because the headers that are included stop at describing the user agent (EZ Publish).

I'm using Postfix EZP 3.3-3 and Postfix for my mail server, the emails don't contain any HTML. Has anyone had similar experiences? I don't really want to dismiss this as a one off, considering this installation is going to become a production server in the next week or so!

Thanks,

James

if you are using sendmail as transport this issue is known

sendmail converts all linebreaks

if you look into the bugs or forum you will find other thread that had the same issue.

try to use SMTP or fix the lineending in the email classes from the lib.

Yes, but apparently this was fixed in revision 4886, I'm using 5019... Plus I've been tweaking my registration mail templates all day and still no change, I can't reproduce it.
