Hello,

I recently installed eZ Publish 4.0.

During the course of my evaluation I found that when I login (as admin), accessed the uri '/notification/settings', using the user site access, using php525, using the default ezwebin (blue) packages from the official release I ran into this error which is unknown to me.

Error Description

The module view template form for managing notification settings (add/remove nodes) does not function properly, user can not browse to add nodes.

Error Debug Messages

Error: eZTemplate @ extension/ezwebin/design/ezwebin/templates/notification/settings.tpl:27[0] Feb 23 2008 11:45:57

Unknown template variable 'handler' in namespace ''

Error: eZTemplate @ extension/ezwebin/design/ezwebin/templates/notification/handler/ezsubtree/settings/edit.tpl:14[321] Feb 23 2008 11:45:57

Cannot retrieve attribute of a NULL

The above error entry regarding NULL is repeated four additional times, snipped out of this example.

Is this error a bug in 4.0? This view works just fine under the default admin siteaccess without the above debug errors.

Hello eZe,

Well, it seems that this problem remains. I have seen another default installation of 4.0 which this feature works without error before which has me returning to find a solution to the problem.

The primary difference between the two installations seems to be the activation of a custom design extension on site with the above error.

What could cause such an error? Where are the errors occurring so that they may be resolved?
