Could you explain more in details what are you trying to do. It's not clear from your description of the problem.

First you have to grant to Anonymous "user/login" permission for your user siteacces (this would be for example "news" if your admin siteacces is "news_admin"). Without that, Anonymous can't access your site.

Then you have to grant to Anonymous permissions fro content/read to all the classes and all the sections you want him to be able to read. Aditionaly you can grant him "content/read" only for some nodes or subtrees of nodes.

Try with this tips, and if it doesn't succed copy and paste permissions in a post here, so that it's more clear what exactly you did.

Hi Marko, How do you do?, thanks for your help...
Look at this..

This is the error:

Error/ Kernel
Access denied
You don't have permission to access this area.

Now...
These are the permissions:

content read Node( SOAP - ¿De qué se trata? ,
Boletin Nº 1 - MAPFRE , ¿Quiénes
somos?)
content pdf Section( Standard )
shop buy No limitations
rss feed No limitations
user login SiteAccess( intranet )

I set the parameter RequireUserLogin = false , because I don't want Anonymous's user to login for use the site. Now Anonymous's user have permissions to all the modules hereby I want to grant permissions just above..
All works so well, but when I try at to limit the permissions show me the error above.

In definitive whatever I want is just the Anonymous user not to login for the use the site, he enter to the principal page without login page, and to grant some permissions.

Thanks..

Cheers...

First of all, RequireUserLogin doesn't matter for the anonymous user if you give him "user login" acces. the fact that Anonymous virtually "logs in" in your site shouldn't disturb you since the Anonymous can do only what you allow him to do. So better set RequireUserLogin = false, maybe it could even be the reason why your site is not working.

As for your problem, could you also copy paste the exact URL that reproduced the error?

Suggestion: when you ask for help on forum, try to be more detailed. Because more information you give, the better is the chance that someone can figure what's your problem.

Hi,

I'm working on the same project as Natalia and would greatly appreciate you confirm whether the steps taken are correct or not.

Having selected the user site - like news in your example - working on the admin account:
1.- we gave "user login" for anonymous account.
2.- set read privileges on every module that we want to give anonymous access.
3.- set RequireUserLogin to false, in your note this wouldn't be necessary. We'll try setting it to true and see what happends.

What we've experienced is that only if we remove the contents that appear on the front page from the nodes and subtrees list for anonymous they will appeear with our the 'login required' error.

Just for case, did you try clearing the cache after making changes to permissions? Also, enalbe DebugOutput and see what you get on the bottom of the page as debug.

Hi Marko,
Yes, I clean the cache provided I change something.
But the other that you say about "DebugOutput", I don't Know as work...

I try with sections and almost works...,If I create a section and I add nodes or permissions at that and without to assign that section to the content/read, just I create it, nothing more, almost works with the exception what in the top menu with the user administrator shows the same nodes that those to the Anonymous.

Well, I will follow trying,...

Thank you so much for your help.....

Cheers.

I have the same error but I can't solve it, any can help me?

I have changed the Anonymous Policies, they are:

Module Function Limitation
content read Node( eZ publish ) , Subtree( eZ publish )
content pdf Section( Standard )
rss feed No limitations
content read No limitations
section all functions No limitations
user login SiteAccess( my_public_site )

I had cleared all caches

the log file var/log/error.log show this error:
[ Jan 25 2006 08:306 ] [10.8.2.237] Error ocurred using URI: /ezsite/index.php

When I Login as administrator I can see all pages, but I need that an anonymous user don't need to login in order to see any pages of my public site.

I use eZ Publish 3.7.3

thanks
