3.5 beta: How can I create sub-items of the content's root folder?

Greetings,

it is a bit embarassing to ask this: I have installed the 3.5 beta and the one thing that I cannot find is the "Create Here" functionality for creating new objects in the root content folder. Neither in the default view, nor in the context menu of the node in the tree navigation can I find any hint on how to create an article or a new folder within the folder.

Can anyone enlighten me?

In the sub-items window where all the children are located there are controls to create new children.

Thanks a lot for your answer. There is no sub-items window on the root folder in my installation, so I assume that something must have gone wrong with the installation (although I am not new to ezpublish in general and usually know my way round). I'll keep trying.
