Admin login problem

Nothing happens, exept for the message when opening index.php/admin/: >>Warning: Unknown(): Failed to write session data (user). Please verify that the current setting of session.save_path is correct in Unknown on line 0. All other applications using sessions are working OK. What could be the solution, please help. Can you set the memory limit of PHP to more than 8 MB? It's done in php.ini. That could be the problem.
