Which version of eZ publish and PHP are you using?

Enable PHP display_errors ( http://www.php.net/manual/en/ref.errorfunc.php#ini.display_errors ) and set the error_reporting level ( http://www.php.net/manual/en/ref.errorfunc.php#ini.error-reporting ) to E_ALL.

Enable eZ publish DebugOutput in settings/override/site.ini.append (http://ez.no/doc/ez_publish/technical_manual/3_6/reference/configuration_files/site_ini/debugsettings/debugoutput).

Try to run the wizard again and if any errors show up, post them here.

You might want to check the permissions for the settings/override and settings/siteaccess directories and subdirectories.

I use the newest version of EZ CMS and version 4.4.2 of PHP.
I have tried to change settings of overwriting but it did not help.
I do not kno how to modify content of this php.ini file. Do I have to create it? Where am I to seek it?

Help me! Thanks in advance.

webby webby,

Don't despair.

You can use .htaccess to set the php.ini values. The installation wizard has the exact code, all you have to do is copy it into your .htaccess file in the ez directory and then run finetune again and you should be all set.

Good luck.

Is the .htaccess file in the ez directory?

I had the same problem with 3.7.5 and I confess, I just updated the .htaccess file, and then hit <b>Next></b> instead of <b>FineTune</b>.

You can edit <i>setup.ini</i> to disable some of the checks.

I've never had the problem on earlier versions of eZ.

Of course it is in main folder (being concrete in: public_html) on the server. I really got angry. I thought it would be much easier to install this EZ. I am not a geek but I know how to do some things here and there but with EZ I am closer to give up. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What should I input in setup.ini? What to do? <crying>

webby webby,

If you post the URL to your site here, many people would be willing to help you. Sometimes it is hard to understand what's wrong on the forums.

Post as much information as you can - links to screen shots, the site, error messages, the version of eZ, PHP, Apache, MySQL/Postgres. Don't post usernames and passwords, though.

If you can purchase tech support, it is definitely worth it.

eZ is worth learning. Keep trying.

You can email me at bgamrat -- at -- wirehopper.com with more information if you would like.

Good luck.
