I am starting to wonder what the ez commitment is to this and other ez3 forums are. There have been several important messages posted this week that have not received a reply. Tonight I find another message, point 1 of: http://developer.ez.no/forum/message/14612
that seems to address a point i asked earlier this week, namely: http://developer.ez.no/forum/message/14462.
This prompted me to write this forum message.

Another important question I asked was about the missing language file,
http://developer.ez.no/forum/message/14519/

Where are the answers to these questions? Will they be answered on this forum? What has happened to the ez3 community site? The ezwiki site has been fantastic, and i expect the ez community site would build on this. Should i inquire about the holy grail? :)

As users we are trying to help bugfix ez3 but we do require feedback from the developers. Since ez3 has reaches rc2 status it is meant to be a stable, well designed and tested product. As a concerned user i must insist on answers.

I think they actually want to sell their professional service and are not really interested in answering to this forum. At the moment I am setting up ezpublish rc2 and typo3. So I think I am gonna use Typo3, cause there is a big helpful community with an excellent mailing list.

So I really have respect of the work ez does, but I can't afford the commercial version and service. And I think ez would also benefit a lot from a better discussion/debugging of their product...

The ezp-community is still evolving with ez systems offering serious work to the GPL. The devs are actually doing their best to work on the bugs we report. In particular, they appreciate constructive reporting. I issued several bug reports within the past days, after having spent some time to find patches. The dev-crew has investigated and fixed most of my bug reports quite immediately. So I have no reason to complain. Don't forget: ezp3 is still a pre-release. However, I think this software is worth holding on. In a few weeks, we'll be through and obtain a pretty CMS here.

I agree Paul, I can see more evidence as bug reports status are not being updated in many instances.
I am hoping this will change once eZ3 is finalised as I can imagine they are pretty tied up right now. If the community is to grow and thrive then two-way feedback is vital, but the problem with sucess is that resources get spread thin.

I have faith that things will get better.
