Has anybody had any experience - positive or negative - running ezpublish 4 on ubuntu or similar linux distro under vmware?

Obviously performance all depends on the number of VMs on a given bit of hardware, type of hardware, load on webserver, etc., but I would be interested to know if anybody has encounted any intrinsic problems with I/O bottlenecks, etc. when running ezpub in this type of envrionment - or if anybody is successfully running in this type of environment.

Thanks

Hi,

We are running eZ Publish internally in eZ on VMWare Server on Debian linux distro. So fare we did not have any performance issues. Quick test with Apache bench gives about 130 r/p on one of virtual machines with 2 Intel Xeon 2.33GHZ enabled on standard eZ Publish installation. (note that is not optimized environment for performance).
