Hi!
I have installed FCKEditor (http://ez.no/community/contribs/applications/fckeditor_transparent_integration), and it works almost perfectly. The problem is I am not able to upload pictures to my web server via the "upload" page when I want to insert a picture.
Do I have to configure some append files or something. I have configured the files mentioned in the INSTALL file, so the path are correct, and I have created the UserFiles folders (UserFile/Image, UserFile/File and so on), as described in this forum message
(http://ez.no/community/forum/setup_design/some_questions_about_fckeditor/re_some_questions_about_fckeditor__7)

Still no result. When I try to push "Upload to server" (Not shure if thats the correct phrase in english, my version is in Norwegian), nothing happens.

When I want to insert pictures, I get a text field in the lower part of the page, asking for a username? I have tried with different usernames (eZ username, server username) without any result. And I am not able to see any pictures (althoug I have manually uploaded pictures in the "UserFile/Images").

BUT, the "Link" tab is working correct, and I am able to link to pictures manually up-loaded.

What am I doing wrong here?

Hi Vidar,

Since image handling has changed since version 0.3.3 of the contribution, you should check which version you're using. The new system uses shared images from media library, when the old one was handling native files on the disk (not shared from ezpublish content).

This said, to be able to use the new upload system, you've to be sure that the user has got full access on the module "fckeditor", since upload is now handled by views in this module. Moreover, if you played with sections, it seems that a few problems could happen when using "content/edit" rights on specific sections, I don't know if it could be some of your issues. As far as I see, it should be rights issues in your case.

If you wish to use the external image browsing (traditional FCKeditor browser) without sharing in the media library, you've to disable ezFileManager in file fckeditor.ini.append , but you'll lose content handling in ezPublish.

Hope this will help you to solve your problem.

Hello Alexandre!

Thank you very much for your reply!
Granting the right access on the extension solved the problem!
Now the only problem is the language.
When I click "Browse" (Again, I`m not shure if thats the correct phrase, as my language on the extension is Norwegian), I get the folder tree with Images,Files and Multimedia.
And on the bottom page, I have a button labled "Créer une nouvelle image", witch I beleve is French? clicking this button, the French language continues, and I am able to upload files to the server.

I have tried to look trough the php files for the FCKEditor, with no luck tracing back the language.

Do you have any ideas why this is happening, and do you know what file to modify to get it to speak English? ;)

Hi Vidar,

About the language you're right!.. it comes in french on some things.. we didn't think about international context yet.
To cutomize the forms, you should find all html data that have to be changed in files module/fckeditor/createUpload.php and module/fckeditor/upload.php
These are views of module, used to replace the upload mecanism and interact with content.
I hope you'll reach your goal with it. Otherwise, as I got back in the code, a few things might be cleant in coming days ;)

Happy edit

Alexandre

Hi again!
I'm now finished with the "development" stage on my computer, and have uploaded the files to my web server.

As earlier, I'm not able to upload files in FCKEditor, when EzFileManager is set as "true".
I have CHMOD the extension folder to 777, so everybody should have read/write permissions.

This problem occours ONLY in IE... Firefox handles this OK.

What am I doing wrong??

Regards

Vidar
