.htaccess blows up – of course

Perry Myklebost	Saturday 21 June 2008 2:49:23 pm Downloaded eZpublish and ran install until the dreaded .haccess portion and of course the system crashes as soon as I rename the .htaccess_root to .htaccess So how do I work around this bug? (I'm installing on PowWeb, a remote hosting site) Thanks for any help. (I really get tired of the .htaccess problem in so many CMS out there – they all want the short links for the search engines and this causes so much trouble down the road)

Did you follow-up instructions inside the .htaccess? You may need to provide the full path to the eZ Publish instance. Ask also hosting provider for assistance.
