I can't see my images (After read whole forum)

I admit that I'm newbie in web development (Linux, Apache, PHP) and I don't found any solution.
My hosting account hasn't ImageMagick, it has imageGD 1.6, so in my image.ini.append.php I have useconvert=false; usegd=true; hasgd2=false.

I try follow instructions at http://ez.no/developer/ez_publish_3/forum/install_configuration/ezimagemanager_with_gd_handling but my images still are lost.

Can anybody help me?

Yes, I follow the instructions, I clear cache, I clear ezimagevariations table, I uploads images in .jpg (jpg and jpeg extensions) and .gif format, but image are still missing. I note that var/storage/variations/image/p/h/p is empty. (?)

My boss is angry and I don't know what I can do.
