modifx.sh --> Permission settings ALL write, why??

Tore Skobba	Friday 20 February 2004 5:57:44 am Hi Just updated a site to EZ 3-3.3, and I noticed that modfix.sh sets permissions for ALL to write to ALL files in settings and design, why? I immidiately removed write for all and everything seems to work fine. So why this very open set of permissions? Cheers Tore

So you may restrict the permission, but you need to make sure that apache have writepermission to the files if you want some features to work (like override templates from the admin interface).
