Hi Everybody,
Actually iam having my live site in the version 3.2-4, But I want to upgrade to 3.5.2.
So First I upgraded to 3.4 , but after upgrading it to 3.4 i did'nt get images in that site.Again tried to upgrade in 3.5.0 But i could'nt get the site itself. So I recreated the site instead of upgrading in 3.5.1 with what iam having in 3.2-4, In this also i faced many problems.So I have brought everything except image in the site.So I just want to know the reason.
For image i have used as attribute_view_gui = $node.data_map.resource_image image_class="large" alignment="right" after recreating in 3.5.2 I used as attribute_view_gui = $node.object.data_map.resource_image image_class="large" alignment="right" I feel that image coding is wrong, So I tried various combinations.Still I did'nt get the result of image.So is there anybody to solve my problem.Can anyone tell me whether the coding side is wrong or updating steps or the imagemagick problem.How to find out all these steps.Please help me ASAP.

Hi Tagnet Hopetalk. Make sure you have followed all steps given in the doc. http://ez.no/download/changelogs/ez_publish_3_5/upgrading
I wonder if you have copied var directory from 3.2.x to new 3.5.x as var directory contains all images and files uploaded to site.
if yes check permission for the directory and check roles and settings Still if you have problem check if you have installed imagemagick and image GD stuffs are installed properly. Still if you have problem then provide more detail, what you did so we can provide some more info about this. I hope this will help you.

Thanks a lot for responding. I completely recreated the site in 3.5.1 then again i upgraded from 3.5.1 to 3.5.2 In 3.5.1 itself i did'nt get the images.So i tried in 3.5.2 but iam facing the same problem.When iam editing in the admin part the image is displayed , but it is not displaying in the site.As you said i have copied the var directory from 3.2-4 to 3.5.1 . Iam trying this for past three months in 3.5.1 and then upgraded to 3.5.2 , Could you please tell me whether the coding is correct or not.Whether Iam using the correct combination for image.Please help me ASAP

I completely recreated the site in 3.5.1 ?? If you could access image from admin site then it is permission problem. Could you give me some more info, I mean what steps you followed to do this so I can reproduce this here, I will back soon as I will get time to test this.

Hi Recreated 3.5.1 site means , I ve created the templates and copied the files from 3.2-4 to 3.5.1 Yesterday , I again copied the directory "var" from 3.2-4 and replaced it in 3.5.2 after a taking a backup of var. When I cehecked Icould 'nt get the site it was displaying as "create a new custom template".Again replaced my backup var , now it is displaying only 2 division and the whole and all others are displayed with error "create a new custom template." . I had taken a backup of 3.5.2 before 1 month. So from that I copied the "var" directory and again checked in this I did'nt get the 2nd division except home page.So again replaced with the original backup.What might be the problem. Please help me ASAP. Thank You.

Sorry, That was permission problem in var directory , after giving the full permission , it is working.Thank You.
Please help me for image , Still the image is not displayed. Please tell me whther the coding is right or is this the same permission problem.

Hi!

Above says, If you are upgrading from a version prior to eZ publish 3.4.4 you must follow the upgrade path version by version until version 3.4.4 is reached.

Above says, if your installed version is prior to 3.3-5 you must first upgrade the site to 3.3-5.
Any how you are using 3.2.x then it should not be necessary in your case but you can try this as well,
Read the last paragraph of above link about Admin siteaccess hint:
for test try to upgrad in following order
First 3.2-4 -> 3.3-5 (check here if it works fine)
then 3.3-5 -> 3.4.4 (check if it works fine here)
after 3,4,4 -> 3.5.1 Note : After each upgrad make sure that the caches have actually been cleared by checking that the contents of the various cache directories inside the var directory are empty. And just let me know where you are not getting your images ??
