I would like to upgrade my ezp 4.0.1 portal page to the newest 4.2 . I think it is good time from the point of view of the security and technology development.
What is the simplest procedure?
After reading instructions I am not sure if there is any simple procedure but:
1. Is it possible to upgrade directly :)?
2. Should I first upgrade to ezp 4.03 (ezp 4.07?), later to 4.1 (4.1.4?) and finally to 4.2 (Oh God!)
3. Can I upgrade directly from ezp 4.03 (ezp 4.07?) to 4.2
What is the status of Polish translations (admin, website, classes) of the ezp4.2? Is it better than 4.0.1? I have spent some time correcting the original 4.0.1 ones.
Thank you for your help, comments, suggestions.

Hi Dariusz,

The simple procedure i avaiable here: http://ez.no/doc/ez_publish/upgrading/upgrading_to_4_2/upgrading_from_4_1_x_to_4_2_y

As you can read, first you need to upgrade to versio 4.0.3 or latest version from 4.0.x, then to 4.1.x and then to 4.2.

1. No
2. Yes, it's eZ ;)
3. No

You can use your old translation if you want or use the new one (I don't know which one is better).

Good luck!

Thank you for the answer.

Today I have updated my site to the ezp 4.2.0. Actually the procedure was not so complicated ( only the descriptions look really discouraging, and there are many things which concern only the very old ezpublish versions).

Finally everything works fine, with the exception of the old Website Interface. So my question is now how to safely update the ezwebin 1.3.1 to 1.5 (but only crucial packages).

Creating the page I modified default ezwebin_design_blue package and I cannot now remove it (update was not successful :) ), but I would like to use the new Website interface with multiupload feature.

Can I use old ezwebin_design (1.3.1) packages with new ezwebin (1.5) website interface? I don’t really understand structure of the packages. Which packages are important for the interface and which are only the dummy files.

The next question is how to use Multiupload extension with admin interface. I read somewhere that it possible, but I did not find this option in the admin interface. The explanation with an nodes tells me nothing.

Thank you again for the help.

It is described in the setup documentation here (v1.3):
http://ez.no/doc/extensions/website_interface

Switch out package url to http://packages.ez.no/ezpublish/4.2/4.2.0/ and you should be good to go. But also download ezjscore_extension, ezgmaplocation_extension, ezstarrating_extension and ezwt_extension as well as they are marked as required in the webin package.

Thank you! I also found the article http://ez.no/doc/extensions/website_interface/website_interface_1_5_upgrade and I will try the procedure.

What about Multiupload extension? Is there any documentation on EZ web page for using it with admin interface?
