Can you make copyright tag a link?

When you go in Look and Feel, there is a place for a copyright line. I tried making a link then adding that object and pasting the object code there but it didn't work.

Is it possible to make that into a link without editing the tpl?

Are you wanting an external link set up? If so, that's easy... in the metadata window where it has the copyright:
copyright=<a href="http://www.website.com/address"_blank>link wording</a>

If you want to link to within your site you should be able to do it in the same way but just using the qualified link.

It's not easy being easy.

Perhaps I'm wrong, but you can create an override for the copyright template. (think it is page_copyright.tpl)
