How can I access URI parameters in templates?

This is a question on the ez publish 3 wiki. It is not answered though and I need to know the answer!!!

Stumbled across a solution contributed by an ezpublish user. I have also amended the wiki to include this information.

Ezenv template operator:

P.S For a 100,000 downloads there's not much activity on the forums!!!!
