Keeping substructure when adding a location.

Due to problems with WebDAV, resulting in not being able to upload into galeries in the content section I'm forced to upload my images into galleries in the media section. My thought was that I could have an extra location for the gallery in question. But, as I do this, the images in the galleri don't "come along". The new location has no subnodes.. What is the problem with webdav ? It works fine in my configuration...

Anyway, I'm not aware of something to duplicate the location of the sub-folders. Why don't you just move the main node to where you want to put it ?
