Hello everyone, It looks like again I ran into a problem that should not be: I am trying to create a links page. It is not actually a page but a folder, because I need to translate the links. Unfortunately, when I put a link (content class) into the folder, it will not show up. For a strange reason not many people seem to need this.(?) The link documentation is not exactly extensive and there seems to be only one older tutorial ("TSCM site") touching this topic. But some procedures have changed since then and I do not really need all the fancy stuff with custom templates and extra menu tree and all, I only like to see a number of links listed within a folder, just like regular articles and all. So, is the link content class not meant to be used this way? Or is there a way short of magic to make it appear?

There is some magic indeed: a setting that the ezwebin extension has added to the site.ini config file, which lists the classes that should not appear when showing the children of a folder. Don't ask me why, but it is initialized to folder + link. So just override the value of [ChildrenNodeList] and you should be fixed.

Ah, I didn't know that spell... The setting is in content.ini btw, just in case someone else needs this too, but that was easy to find with the information you gave - thanks! Slightly OT: I wanted to add this information as comment on the tech manual link page, but it seems mere level-1-wizards are currently not allowed to do so. A pity, because there is still much information that should be in the docs...

FWIW even seasoned necromancers are currently shut off from the commenting system on docs.ez.no. I have asked for this to be reopened asap - maybe you can file an issue / add your vote to existing issue on issues.ez.no to add weight to that request...

@ Gaetano I have already filled an existing issue for re-opening comments, http://issues.ez.no/17505 PS. Voting on issues.ez.no has not worked in years (for me at least). Cheers, Heath

Right, voting seems to be broken, but commenting works there. Btw, I noticed a strange phenomenon after enabling the link visibility: Content became invisible. :-P (Yes, the apprentice again, I know...) I still need to test a bit more, but what I found so far is that in the admin backend, after clicking on the Content tab, the content tree on the left is still there and also the quicklinks on the right, but the middle is empty... Frontend is still OK, have not found other affected areas yet. Is it worth filing a bug for 4.3 now that 4.4 is out? (At the CMS I previously used it was not worth...)

@ Olaf It is always valuable to share your issue reports on the issue tracker these are the basis of many future solutions though patches are even more valuable ;) Cheers, Heath
