I have a long article. I would like to generate a .pdf file for this article.

How can I generate .pdf on the fly
How can make this content be separated into multiple chunks even if the page is not empty.

I guess you can use the pdf operator for this and new_page: http://ez.no/doc/ez_publish/technical_manual/3_8/reference/template_pdf_functions/new_page
