Make Protected Menu Links Visible

I need to know how to make these links visible at all times. This was suggested http://ez.no/doc/ez_publish/technical_manual/4_x/reference/modules/content/fetch_functions/list I have no clue what the above doc is asking me to do. I don't know where to add this material. If a technically advanced person can post the step by step changes to the files, I would (and I'm sure others) greatly appreciate it. I am looking for something like this... http://ez.no/developer/forum/setup_design/showing_links_to_protected_areas In other words, tell me what files to edit and what to add where. This is a fairly common question and I'm surprised that I was referred to a very technical doc when the solution should clearly posted. Aang: Just like the legend says, we let love lead the way.
