Missing parameter content_node

I'm learning the lesson - creating a TSCM website. I stopped at the News section creation level. Everything is fine except one thing:

1. I created folder "News" and one article inside it.

2. Then I read on the tutorial page:

You should be able to see the title of article.

In the admin, I guess. And that's ok with it. And then:

(You can see the article: "http://[..]/index.php/tscm/news").

.
So when I try to open this page (with my site name, of course) I see the empty news section with the words: "This folder contains all the news articles."
Somehow the description of the folder "News" is shown at this page.

There is one eZ debug message:

Warning: eZTemplate:node_view_gui
Missing parameter content_node

Please, help me. I guess that somehow the necessary parameter of the object should be sent to the news page, but I have no clue to resolve the problem.

Thanks,
Marat

P.S. When I try to add another article all stays the same except there are the same debug messages appear - one per each article, I guess.

I solved the problem by proceeding to the next pages of tutorial and creating custom ('override') templates. Maybe something was wrong with the standard templates.

Thank 2 all,
Marat

Marat,

Congrats on solving your problem, still I think you wrote a decent forum post.

Fyi the tutorial in question depends on custom created templates (i think) so they would not exist until you created them (later in the tutorial).

I don't know about the rest of you, but I kinda like Marat's post.

Perhaps because it is thorough, has details, or just plain long(er) winded than many.

I find it easier to help users who are willing to tell a story, write in detail and at length about the their situation from start to stop ;)

Personally, I think a number of the eZ publish newcomers could learn a lesson from this guy and write a bit more detailed questions with more details.

Only think I thought when reading this post was where's the link to the place where he had problems in the documentation / tutorial, which would help us get in-sync with his current situation a bit more quickly.

opinions, eh?

Marat,

Please don't confuse my previous compliment as an invitation to slip into bad forum form.

I urge you to create a new thread regarding each individual subject, for each question you ask on ez.no
