url in class article

Hi,
I would like to make a link, looking something like this: http://www.test.dk/ret/ret.php?email=$current_user.email in an instans of my article class.

Is it possible to get the email address of the user who is currently logged in here or is it only possible in a template?

Hope somebody can help me.

only possible in a template, and you'll have to fetch the current user if you want to use that in a node template.
