Availability of POST and GET as global variables

I definitely think that basic communication between forms and the system should be possible without much hassle. Are there any plans to support sht. like this in the near future?
Or any reasons, why you do not want to implement it?

On the summer conference, this was confirmed in the sense that you can access template defined post/get variables. Sth for 3.3 I guess. It's one of the basic things lacking with the template engine.
