Dear translators and linguists,

I am pleased to announce that the translation of eZ Publish Fuji (4.4) has started. Approximately every 3 weeks from now on (matching the end of a sprint in the engineering team, picked from the agile terminology), the new, untranslated strings will be pushed in the trunk of our translation repository, immediately available for translation. This ensures the translation can be smoothly done, on the fly, closely following the product development pace.

The first sprint has ended, but no new string was committed. The next untranslated strings delivery will occur around May, 20th.

However, all translations are not complete yet, meaning we can still improve even if no new string was produced by this sprint of eZ Engineering.

Cheers !

Hi Nicolas,

This is great, can we use the same trunk e.g. svn url we used for the 4.3 translations? Lots to complete in the Dutch translation.

Hi Robin,

Correct, translation should always occur on the trunk, meaning this branch : http://svn.projects.ez.no/ezpublish_translation/trunk/

Cheers !

Hi Nicolas,

That's a nice news for translators! It would be even nicer if translations of extensions bundled with eZ Publish (ezoe, ezwebin, ...) can be in the same repository too !

Cheers!

Hei Damien,

Yes, this is part of the "known issues". I am not sure we'll manage to gather absolutely all extensions translations in this repository for this product cycle (Fuji - 4.4). This should not prevent you guys from giving them a try. The only boring part of the process is that you have to be a member of the related extension's project on projects.ez.no (eZ Survey for intance, hosted here : http://projects.ez.no/ezsurvey_ezp4 ). Otherwise, the process is exactly the same as for translating eZ Publish's kernel. I can also, like i sporadically did for 4.3 and friend extensions, push the extensions translations in the respective repositories when the authors do not want/have time to become member of the associated project.

Cheers !
