Hi,

I'ma hving some strange problems when it comes to editing classes. Lately, I've been having trouble using my admin user account to save the changes I make to a class. I'm allowed to click "Activate", but not "Save".

Furthermore, having just given my partner admin priveligies, he is unable to edit both the default classes and the ones I've created. However, in stead of not being able to Save/Activate, he's not able to view none of the classes in edit view mode.

That admin priveliges are (of course) * * *, and I can't understand why my partner doesn't get this as I've assigned the priveliges both to the the user account itsself, and to the user group he belongs to.

Any help would be greatly appreciated !

Sincerely,

Hi Eirik,
First, what version are you using? I been having this behaviour on my sites as well and found that if you just add another user to a group that has the rights, its not working at least in 3.2-1. You have to assign the user directly to that role. Goto "Users" - "Role" and then assign the user you want here.

Its another one of them bugs... ;)

Hi Claus,

I'm using the latest stable (3.2-3, i belive). Also, I _have_ assigned the role to the specific user in question. So, still scratching my head on this one. Any other ideas.

I've also had this when using 3.2-3. This is what I'm having:
Administrator user A cannot edit the classes of administrator user B if there are objects of the class that are also created by the admin user B.

Hi Joris,

That's the case with my installation as well. I've posted a bug report on it here:

UPDATE:
Any solution yet? If not, this could be the case:
You have a draft of that class for user A who edited it. I have just gotten a solution through ezsupport on this. This is what you could try. Enter the class with user A who edited it and press "Discard changes". Then try to edit with user B. You should be able to do that now, as there is no longer a "hidden" draft on it. You may see a draft in the "Trash", but just deleting this will not help, you must enter editing mode of the class and "Discard" it. Its a weakness in the system that one _have_ to edit the class to view its attributes, there should be a link to view it.

cheers,
